Back-sacks Weekend Meals
On Friday afternoons LifeBridge distributes over 260 bags filled with food at various bus stops in the community.  These back-sacks ensure that children have food for the weekends and at other times when school is not in session.

Backpacks of Love
Before the beginning of each school year, LifeBridge distributes free backpacks filled with school supplies as part of its Back to School Blast outreach to families in need.  Free haircuts, dental screenings and fun activities are also part of the day’s offerings.  In 2011, LifeBridge Community volunteers filled and distributed over 400 backpacks to area children.  Check out our 2011 Backpacks of Love outreach - photos, video, stats, more.

Baskets of Hope
During the Thanksgiving season, volunteers distribute totes filled with everything needed for a bountiful Thanksgiving meal.  In 2011, 350 needy families received a Basket of Hope through LifeBridge Community.

Operation Bright Christmas
LifeBridge Community provides free toys, winter coats and clothing to help low-income families during the Christmas season.  Parents shop for free gifts at our Operation Bright Christmas store.  This unique set-up helps struggling parents to feel the joy of being able to give to their children.  In 2011, LifeBridge volunteers helped parents from 80 families select gifts for 200 children.  Also, to help bridge the gap during the holiday break from schools, LifeBridge gave Christmas food totes to 200 children, providing about 20 nutritious meals in each tote.
